Shared Custody Guidelines

In most cases, where the non-custodial parent has custody of the minor child(ren) for more than 90 days per calendar year, the courts apply the shared custody support guidelines. However, there are some exceptions to this rule. The support amount depends on the number of days the non-custodial parent has custody, as well as the income of the parties, daycare and healthcare cost for the minor child(ren).

Sole Custody Guidelines

In cases where the non-custodial parent has visitation with the minor children for 90 days or less during one calendar year, the courts will apply the sole custody guideline to determine the amount of child support. The amount of child support depends on the income of both parties, any other children of either party, daycare and the healthcare cost for the minor child(ren).
